What our clients say about Daniel O’Doherty
About Daniel
I specialise in property litigation with an emphasis on leasehold, housing and general landlord and tenant law. I enjoy a diversity of legal work and act for a wide range of private and commercial landlords and leaseholders/tenants. I act for and enjoy performing my own advocacy in the county courts, High Court and the First-tier Property Tribunal. I have supported counsel in the Court of Appeal. My work includes lease extensions, freehold acquisitions through collective enfranchisement and rights of first refusal, right to manage, Party Wall and boundary disputes, and service charge disputes.
I initially obtained a journalism degree which involved learning about various legal areas relevant to journalism, such as defamation and contempt of court. I really enjoyed studying the legal aspects of journalism and this convinced me to study law. I qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and have been fortunate to have trained and worked with many intelligent, experienced, and influential solicitors, barristers, and judges.
My main aim on any case is to provide professional and practical legal advice and achieve client satisfaction as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
