What our clients say about Dona Awano
About Dona
I am a solicitor specialising in residential property law, with expertise in enfranchisement and property litigation. I’m based primarily in our Crystal Palace office, but I also am available for appointments at our London Bridge, Victoria, and Battersea Power Station offices. My work includes collective enfranchisement, lease extensions, right of first refusal, freehold acquisition of houses, right to manage, absentee landlords, licence for alterations, and service charge and management disputes.
I’ve worked in this area of law since I qualified as a solicitor in 2007. I am keen to promote improvements to leasehold law and sit on the Law Society’s Conveyancing and Land Law Committee. I also worked for a year as a policy advisor on leasehold reform with the Department of Levelling Up, Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Breaking down the complexities of leasehold law for my clients is important to me and I ensure that my clients are kept informed and updated though out their legal process. If you have a query regarding your lease or are considering buying the freehold of your property, please do get in touch for a free initial assessment of your legal matter.
