We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated public children law solicitor to join our child care team, based at our head office in Crystal Palace.

 

About the Role – Solicitor, Public Children Law

This is an opportunity for a solicitor experienced in public children law (child care) matters to join a growing department in a London firm on a full time, permanent basis.

You must have worked in a similar environment previously and managed your own caseload, including your own advocacy. You will need to be a Children Panel Member or at least working towards this accreditation and can demonstrate good experience in this area.

The role includes managing a caseload of children law matters with a particular focus on;

  • Public Law Outline Meetings – PLOs
  • Care proceedings
  • Emergency Protection Orders
  • Special Guardianship Orders

The successful candidate must have the ability to demonstrate sound technical knowledge in the areas outlined above.

This is a permanent role. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you could work from home, but also you could be in any one of our 3 main offices, Bromley, Crystal Palace, and West Wickham.

 

Knowledge, skills, and experience

Essential

  • Solicitor (3 years PQE)
  • Experience in all aspects of child care work
  • The ability to manage your own caseload, including your own advocacy
  • IT skills including Word and Excel

Desirable

  • Children Panel Member
