About Liz
I am a Partner at Amphlett Lissimore and I work in the Family law department as a Solicitor and Family Mediator. I specialise in resolving financial, property and children arrangements following a relationship breakdown. I have worked in this area of law since 1981 and am passionate about helping my clients to achieve the best possible outcome with the least intrusion from others as possible.
I trained as mediator and so can help couples achieve an agreement themselves on financial and children issues by acting as a trusted guide, supporting them through the Mediation process.
I am a former National Chair of Resolution, an organisation of 6,500 family law professionals committed to constructive outcomes for families, and in that capacity have appeared on national radio and television and have featured in the national press.
I believe that when their relationship fails people should benefit from the fact that I have done this before and can get them to a solution that works for them using pragmatic and sensible options. Although it is rare to use the court to sort things out it is sometimes the right option but let’s use it carefully and not so that the costs run out of control. In most divorce and separation cases using the court can be avoided. I help people do as much as possible to find the solution outside of the courts so they can save on expense and additional heartbreak.
